Comfort zones

Comfort zones.... and how to step out of them!

This is a make up look I posted on my Instagram last weekend as I was quite proud of how I had stepped out of my comfort zone to use blue and silver eyeshadows on my eyes...

I have green eyes, and I like what I like! I tend to opt for browns/ soft purples on my eyes as I feel these colours compliment my eyes best. Everyone knows their go-to look, but sometimes I do like to step out of that and see what I can do with different colours... and this is the look I came up with!

For this eyeshadow look I used the Sleek Cosmetics i-Divine palette which I received as a Christmas present. It has some gorgeous shadows in, some perfect for the crease but I was excited to experiment with the silvers, blues and black to create something different and smokey.

I would really recommend this palette as I found it super easy to work with. I used the 3rd shade from the top line as my crease shade, and the blue on the top and blended with the pinky tone on the end, and used the black on the bottom line on my outer 3rd with the silver in my inner corner.

After I did this I did a big black wing, and still felt I needed something a bit more extra! I used the Barry M silver glitter pot on top of the NYX glitter glue along the wing to give it something a bit more.... and then I was like, okay... this is a bit much for Morrisons! But I really liked it! I added a Rimmel turquoise eyeliner on my lower lash line to really make it pop... It definitely wasn't my normal look but here is how it looked..

I think that is the good thing about make up... you can try as many looks as you like and there is no right or wrong... I love to create something different from time to time!

What do you think to this look? Do you ever wear blue eyeshadows? Can you recommend any good ones?

Lots of love EP💕
