W7 On The Rocks Palette ♡

W7 - "On The Rocks" Palette

W7 is one of my faaavourite brands... I actually own quite a few of their products, and none of them disappoint - especially for what I paid for them! So, I was super excited to try this little beaut! I love pops of colour, especially blues (cue KKW vibes!) and although I have never tried orange or yellow eyeshadows before; I was eager to try something different.

Safe to say .. I have been reaching for this each day for about a week... So let's get to it!

First things first... Doesn't it just SCREAM Subculture?

Yeah... Thought so! It is an exact dupe! Even the pans are laid out the same. With the pops of orange and yellow, teals and greens with the warm purples and browns mixed in. It is the perfect affordable dupe if you are an Anastasia Beverly Hills lover but want a cheaper version. I have never tried the Subculture palette, so I cannot comment on the quality difference, but I can say it won't disappoint in terms of price to quality.

The palette is smooth material plastic material (similar to their Delicious palette) as opposed to their metal/ aluminium palettes. I personally prefer the smoother palettes as they feel more luxurious but that's just my preference. On The Rocks also comes with a good sized mirror which I think is fab, especially for the price! It also comes with a brush, which I have kept however, I haven't used!

Here are the matte swatches, without and with flash

The palette contains 14 shades (the same as ABH!) and retails for under £8 from places such as Amazon. It has 12 matte shades from white to light pinks, yellows, oranges, blues, greens, purples and browns and also 2 foiled shades, one gorgeous green and a beautiful gold (LOVE).

And the foiled shades, without and with flash

I feel this is a palette you can create so many looks with. I have been loving using the orange (Bellini) and pinks (Body shot) throughout my crease with the foiled gold (Espresso Martini) on top. Another thing I love is the shade names! So cute and give the palette a bit of extra edge. Maybe I am just a sucker for packaging...

The shadows themselves have good colour pay off and I found I could build up colour intensity really well and with ease. They weren't the butteriest I have ever used, more powdery but they blended really well so this didn't matter too much. They have a slight bit of fall out but that doesn't overly bother me as I tend to do my eye make-up before my face. I would never use green or blue without taking precaution to start with - I am nowhere near talented enough! I love the pops of teals and greens for under the eye, as I feel this gives a very different look - and really spring and summer-esque!

Here is my favourite, go-to gold look I have been doing every day for about a week now...

Overall, I really love this! I have been using it religiously and I think I will throughout the spring season.

What do you think? Have you tried this palette?
