Holiday Make Up Essentials ♡
My Holiday Make Up Essentials! ♡
I am a self confessed over-packer! I am absolutely rubbish at packing light... I can’t help it! I just always have that “what if I need...” in the back of my head and end up with 27 pairs of pants, 18 outfits and 4 pairs of pink trainers for a week... this is before I even start on toiletries π
This time I promised myself to really try and pack sensibly... make up included! Therefore I narrowed it down to my top 10 essential make up products that are 10000% going in my case - without fail! I then narrowed it down to just 8... *pats self on back*
Too Faced - Cat Eyes eyeshadow palette
I have chosen this palette because I feel it is so versatile and you can create so many looks with it. It has 2 pops of colour, 3light shades for the day and then a matte black which I feel is so essential in a palette! I love that this palette is so dinky & you don’t need to lug a huge make up bag with you to carry it! Perfect.
Mac - Face & Body foundation in N5
I love a glowy look on holiday and this foundation is just perfect! As much as it doesn’t offer coverage, it isn’t so light on the skin and really emphasises the ‘sun kissed’ appearance on your skin. It is dewy and a little goes a long way. It is also perfect for giving your skin an airbrushed appearance - especially if you don’t tan on your legs like me! One job wonder!
Make Up Revolution Conceal & Define concealer in C3 and C1
Despite a light coverage foundation - I always take a good concealer with me to hide any spots/ dark circles/ anywhere that needs covering!! My go to was always Maybelline before I discovered this beauty! It gives you the best coverage but is so light on the skin and is buildable if you need a bit more coverage some days than others. I am taking 2 shades - one for under eyes and one to spot conceal π Love these.
Maybelline Brow Drama Brow mascara
I am hooked on brow powders but I don’t think I’ll have room to carry my huge palette with me... instead I am going to take a brow pencil and this brow mascara instead to keep my brows in check. This is so affordable and lasts for hours. I don’t tend to use much day to day but i’m hoping this won’t melt off in the sunshine and keep my brows in place all day!
Iconic London Illuminator Drops
Would it really be a holiday without a killer glow?! Iconic London illuminator drops are amazing and look as good on your collar bones as well as your face to give your whole skin a good glow! The colour “Original” is my favourite but I will also be taking “Glow” to use on my collar bones and shoulders to really stand out. I always use my beauty sponge to blend these out and give you a wet look. Favessss.
Topshop Glow Pot
If in doubt- Topshop Glow Pot is amaaaazing for a golden look! This is a gorgeous cream formula which I use before powder to give the best colour pay off and layer powder on top. I use my ring finger to apply this because I feel it looks the most natural this way with it being a cream product. I literally take this everywhere and it is going in m hand luggage!
Pixi Highlight in Santorini sunset
This Pixi beauty is new to me but I have literally used it everyday since I bought it and I have even had compliments from parents at work when wearing it! It is the perfect gold/ champagne shade and builds up to be absolutely blinding! It is my current favourite and I can’t wait to see how it looks in the sun on holiday π
Clinique Pop Liquid Matte lip colour in Petal Pop
“Holiday” to me is all about corals and pops of pink! I always stock up on Carmex because it has SPF in it for the day time... but for night I love pinks and orange toned lips. This little beaut from Clinique was a present but it is my ideal pink! It’s a real rosey pink and I think it goes with most outfits - especially florals and white! π
What are your holiday must haves?!
Lots of love EP π
