π New Products (to me!) Feb 2018 π
I posted a Poll on Instagram on what post people would like to see ... and my 'new products I have been using' won by only 1 vote! So here it is... A few of my February 2018 newbies!
First of all, I just want to say, these are products that are new to me ! They probably aren't necessarily 'new' to the make up world.. But to me they are newbies that I have been trying out on my face to see how I like them.
First of all I have been loooooving the Barry M Illuminating Face & Body Spray! I have been using this most days in February and it gives such a gorgeous glow to the skin. It is such a bargain and look beautiful over make up and also on your collar bones for a bit of a 'glow from within' look. Big thumbs up!
I bagged myself a 'Doll Light' from Doll Beauty in 'Like A Diamond' and I am literally obsessed! It is a tad pricey for the pan size, and it is a more shimmery than glittery highlighter which I love. It is a champagne/ gold colour which I find perfect for over the top of cream highlights or layered on top of powder. I am lusting over the more Gold 'Shine Bright' shade and I really want to try this, too!
Next up is the 'Lord & Berry' chubby stick lipstick pencil which I received in my Birchbox from January but I have been using for work everyday. This is in the peachier shade and it is so beautiful. It is quite drying as it is a matte, pencil formula so I have been applying Carmex over the top but I love the peach / nude tone of this and it is perfect for every day.
Benefit's moisturiser has been my go-to this month - I have been using it religiously. It smells gorgeous and leaves your skin feeling SO hydrated! This has been my morning ritual before primer and I think it looks lovely under your make up for a hydrated and glowy base.
I had a bit of a 'Make Up For Ever' mini haul at my local TK Maxx and I picked up a few bits which included the setting translucent powder. I bagged it for a tenner and it comes out like a really fine, flour-almost texture which I found different to my Laura Mercier! However, despite the really powdery and fine texture, it lasts aaaaaaall day - with no creasing! It makes your under eyes look super bright and matte and doesn't crease them at all. I really recommend this for an alternative.
I have been using the Make Up For Ever liquid eye liner in Aqua Liner which is a gorgeous navy colour with specks of glimmer in. I fancied a change from my usual black and this is perfect. I like that it has reflective sparks in it which catch in the light and it makes a change from the usual black and matte liner. Really one to try!
Another Make Up For Ever product I have been trying is the Sculpting Blush in the more pink shade (I can't find the shade name?!) It is a lovely matte shade with some pink shimmer in it and you don't need much to give your cheeks a flush of colour as it is really pigmented! I definitely recommend.
Last but not least, I have been using the MUA highlighting cushion with is a steal at £4 in the gold shade. I have been using this with my beauty blender under my powder highlight and it is sooo beautiful. It leaves a really gorgeous sheen on the skin and looks so, so natural. It gives a real glow to the skin which lasts all day! Please, please try this!
These are my newbies in my make up bag - what are yours?!
