L.A. Girl Foundation & concealer ♡
L.A. Girl Cosmetics
I honestly think trying new foundations and concealers is my favourite thing... I just can't help it!
This bank holiday weekend I gave the LA girl cosmetics 'pro coverage' foundation and the 'pro conceal' a whirl... and I was blown away with the results! I know these aren't new products, but they are new to me when I did a mini BeautyBay haul and I have been desperate to try them for a while!
The foundation claims to be 'high definition, long wear and illuminating'. Now that seems almost contradictory .. as often 'illuminating' or dewy foundations, aren't as long wearing as matte ones. But I loveeee glowy, dewy skin - especially in the summer and I was keen to see how long lasting it really was! I read the reviews and decided to try the shade 'natural' - which is one of the lighter shades but I read it does oxidise a little, so it matched my fake tan pretty well with some bronzer!
The concealer is the sister of the foundation and claims to be full coverage and 'high definition', also. I got this in the shade light ivory, which was a little yellow so I might have to try a different shade, too. Saying this, it covers beautifully and blends out really nicely - especially under my eyes which I find crease easily!
I can honestly say I love the finish these 2 products give! A little goes a long way, and I found a pump and a half of foundation was more than plenty as it is a runny consistency and needs quite a bit of blending to get it worked in to the skin. It has the perfect amount of coverage to say it is an illuminating finish, and I found with some powder in the right places it was dewy but without looking too wet. I would definitely recommend this if you have normal/ dry skin like mine -as it really brings your skin to life! I'm not sure I would recommend for oilier skin types, as I did find it to be very glowy, but if this is the look that you like - then defo try it!
Despite needing some powder at the start of the day, I did find the foundation to last well throughout the day. The concealer creased a little bit under my eyes - but I always find that so it does not put me off!
Overall, for the price point of these - I am so impressed as they are super affordable (both under £10 I believe) and give you full coverage with a gorgeous summer glow!
Will you be trying these?
Lots of love EP π
