Make Up Revolution - Mini haul ♡

Mini Haul: MakeUp Revolution & Freedom MakeUp πŸ’“

I love a good haul! My local superdrug doesn't stock MakeUp Revolution (cries) so I have to wait until I go to my mum's or another city to stock up on bits. I absolutely love every product of theirs that I own, and I have a few palettes and lipkits so I was really keen to try some of their newer bits.

Freedom MakeUp Brow Powder Kit in Light-Medium

I have been trying to move away from brow pencil's and be more adventurous with brow products. I am IN LOVE with this palette! I managed to bag it at half price but I would still pay £10 for it as it is soooo good! The colour range is amazing and they are super pigmented shades and easy to fill in the brows this way - I feel it gives a full cover but natural, fluffier brow.
You get 12 shades and 2 concealer colours for any corrections and to go above and below the brow for touch ups. As you can see, there are shades to suit pretty much every skin colour in this palette and this isn't the darker palette either!
The pans are split into 2, the left side being ashier in colour and the right being warmer. I have been opting to mix colours together and use darker shades towards the tail end of my brow. I even use the black & grey shades as eyeshadows as they are so pigmented and easy to blend.

SophDoesNails x Revolution Palette

I was umming and ahhing whether to buy this palette for a long time as I have seen/ read about/ watched soo many reviews on it and was toying with the idea of following the band wagon or not... I swatched it in the shop and was instantly sold!
What I most like about this palette is that it is a bit of a 1-job-wonder... it has gorgeous transition colours, pops of brights, shimmers/ foils and mattes - AND a black! I always like to have a black for days I don't want liner but I need something dark in the outer corners.
The transition colours are lovely and really buildable and I have been enjoying pinky tones recently so went in with these shades on my eyes for this look and then (attempted) a halo eye with the gold shade 'Grow Old'. This was the shade I struggled with the most as I felt it wasn't overly pigmented but built up to a soft shimmery shade.
Overall, I do really like this palette and I do think it is so worth the purchase... It is only £8 and you get 24 colours... I really think Soph did well on this one!

Conceal & Define concealer in C3

I could not wait to get my hands on this and try it! I have never used the Tarte Shape Tape but after seeing it be named the dupe - I was desperate to try! I could only get the shade C3 (I really want C1 too - and to try their contour shades) but I am so impressed with this! It is super full coverage and blends seamlessly on to the skin. I don't wear foundation to work often, and this is enough to cover any redness and dark circles as it is such a good coverage. Absolute bargain for £4! I need more!! 😍

Liquid Highlighter in shade Liquid Champagne

I am becoming more and more addicted to liquid highlighters! I only got this in one shade because I wanted to try it before I invest in them all! I love anything champagne/ gold colours as I feel this compliments my skin best and this did not disappoint! It is a thick, runny consistency and I'd say it is really similar to the Iconic drops (more than the Barry M ones!) but much cheaper. There are 12 shades altogether; ranging from darker golds, to iridescents and pink tones and also a 'mermaid scales' colour which looks perfect for events. I often use these types of highlight under a matte foundation for glowy skin which is what I did here. The only thing i'll say is it is quite glittery/ shimmery as opposed to glowy and I would recommend using your finger to blend in to avoid any lines of metal!  But I really love it, and I will be buying more!πŸ’–

Ultra Blush Palette in Hot Spice

I have been trying to use more blushes, as opposed to covering myself in bronzer and this palette caught my eye with its pinky/ peachy tones and 2 baked shades. It's a bargain at £6 for 8 shades and I tend to swirl my brush over a few of them to give me a flush of colour. It has a nice amount of pigment that is buildable without being BAM straight away. Love.

The finished look...
