Day-to-Day Hair Care - V05 πŸ’›

Image
Easy Peasy Day-to-Day Hair Care using V05 πŸ’› Now, hair is something I am not an expert on - at all! I can just about straighten mine... and run a few curls through it... But! When it comes to looking after it... I do reeeeally try to take good care of my hair! I have been nearly every hair colour you can think of... red, purple, black, brown, pink, grey... but at the moment I am sticking with blonde! This means, I bleach the actual sh*t out of my hair!  I naturally have quite thick, straight-ish hair and my hairdresser is amazing and always helps me to keep it looking healthy. I do have it trimmed every 3 months (ish) and try to only have it coloured up to 3 times a year - to try to eliminate drying it out too much.  I try to wash my hair maybe 3 times a week, and use dry shampoo in-between as I feel this works best for my hair and doesn't dry it out as I feel washing it more really does make it dry and I try to keep it as hydrated as possible. On a daily basi...

Full Face of 1 Brand!

Image
Full Face of 1 Brand ...  Maybelline! πŸ’› Full face of 1 brand's are one of my favourite videos to watch on Youtube! I love seeing artists use different products, trying them out to see if they prefer different parts of particular brands and how they create different looks just using the one brand. One of my all time favourite brands is Maybelline. I have been using their products since I can remember so I was intrigued to try this for myself and see how I got on! A few of the products I have used for a while (does that count as cheating?!) but a few (the ones pictured above!) were all completely new to me, so I wanted to see how some old favourites and some newbies performed together.  This is how I got on... Skin I have been using the Fit Me Matte & Poreless for ages now, alongside the Fit Me Concelears and they never, ever steer me wrong! I wanted to try the new Super Stay foundation but my local Boots didn't have my shade!? (Gutting!) I use th...

New Products - Feb 2018 πŸ’›

Image
πŸ’• New Products (to me!) Feb 2018 πŸ’• I posted a Poll on Instagram on what post people would like to see ... and my 'new products I have been using' won by only 1 vote! So here it is... A few of my February 2018 newbies! First of all, I just want to say, these are products that are new to me ! They probably aren't necessarily 'new' to the make up world.. But to me they are newbies that I have been trying out on my face to see how I like them. First of all I have been loooooving the Barry M Illuminating Face & Body Spray! I have been using this most days in February and it gives such a gorgeous glow to the skin. It is such a bargain and look beautiful over make up and also on your collar bones for a bit of a 'glow from within' look. Big thumbs up! I bagged myself a 'Doll Light' from Doll Beauty in 'Like A Diamond' and I am literally obsessed! It is a tad pricey for the pan size, and it is a more shimmery tha...

Mac Must Haves πŸ’•

Image
πŸ’• Mac Must Haves! πŸ’• Mac Cosmetics is such a staple for everybody... They are more to the high end side of the product price scale but some products are more affordable and, more importantly, sooo worth the money! Most of my girl friends have at least one or two Mac products in their make up bags and so I thought I'd do a post on my 'must have' products that I actually love and I feel are worth splashing a little bit more on... I have narrowed it down to just 4 products that you, may or may not, agree are staples and I repurchase each time I run out! Prep & Prime Fix + This is my second bottle of the Coconut scented Fix+ - I absloutely looooove this! 😎 I first bought it last year for my holiday as the girl in the shop recommended it to me and she was so right to keep my face on all night in the heat. I also have a mini which I keep in my handbag which is only £10 so is worth a try if you are wanting to give it a shot. It works underneath your ma...

No MakeUp Make-Up ♡

Image
πŸ’• No MakeUp Make-Up πŸ’• I have seen this look all over Instagram recently. Holly Boon is my ultimate girl crush and she does the most perfect no makeup make-up! I love this look, particularly for days when you aren't doing a lot but still want to look put together.  These are my go-to products to create that 'I just got out of bed and I look this good' look. They are glowy and glam but also (mostly) super affordable and I reach for these when I still want to look put together but also haven't got time or the energy for a full face! Maybelline - Master Bronze Palette I love this little palette. I't's super affordable at under £13 and it comes with a blush shade, highlight shade and 2 different bronze/ contour colours. I tend to use the 3 darker shades all together for a bronzey look and the highlight over top. It's shimmery but also quite natural so perfect for this look.  Mac - Velvet Teddy matte lipstick  It was K...

Go-To Look ✨

Image
❤ My Go-To Look ❤ Everybody has a go-to look that we reach for when we don't want to take any risks, we use products that we trust and recreate a look over and over knowing it is flattering and looks good for all occasions. I put a poll on my Instagram and this is the look you wanted to see... So here are my go-to products, why I choose them and how I create my go-to look which is.....  this! How to achieve:  Prep Simple Daily Moisturiser. I always always start with a good moisturiser. I like this one because it lasts for 12 hours and it sinks in to the skin and lasts all day. Kiehl's Reviving Daily Concentrate. My absolute go- to before make up! Smashbox Photo finish Primer. This is my current favourite primer. I used it a while ago and when I ran out I never replaced it but now I have it again I am in love all over again. I find the foundation really clings to it and lasts for hours. Face EstΓ©e Lauder Double Wear in Desert...

Current Night Time Routine ♡

Image
My 2018 Night time Routine ♡ These are the little beauties helping to keep my skin look fresh and glowy throughout the winter months. There are some hidden secrets in here and also some super cheap tips I have picked up over the years πŸ’› I absolutely love my sleep but I just don't feel ready for bed if I haven't done all of these things now! I do think they have helped clear up any dry patches and crack down on pesky spots! Hope you enjoy ✨ CLEANSE & GLOW These 2 badboys have been my favourite combo since Christmas and I love them together! 🌈 The Kiehl's face wash is amazing and makes your skin feel so so clean. It doesn't have any nasty scents and I feel like it leaves your skin clean and soft.  The Pixi Glow tonic I was seeing all over Instagram, and I saw CC Clarke use the Glow Pads but when I saw the actual tonic I knew I had to try it! They aren't quite as gentle as maybe the Simple range but I definitely would recommend the Glo...

January 2018 Favourites πŸ’—

Image
πŸ’– January 2018 Favourite Products πŸ’– January, January... What a long month you were! I can honestly say I am glad to see the back of you (sorry any January babies!) and I always welcome a new month with open arms - new goals, fresh mindset - we are coming for you! Here are a few of the products I have been using religiously throughout January and some I really recommend for you guys to try! Sleek Cosmetics Blush Palette in Californ.I.A This palette is super affordable and it has a shimmer orangey toned shade and two matte shades, one being pinkier and one being more orange.  I tend to mix the two matte shades and apply them to the apples of my cheeks. It is suuuuper pigmented so you don't need much at all but it is lovely and soft and perfect for every day.  Sleek Cosmetics Contour Kit in Light I picked this up purely because of how dinky the packaging is and I thought it would be a perfect handbag product but I have used it pretty much eve...

Clarins Skin Care

Image
πŸ’• Skin Care Sundays πŸ’• I love to look after my skin... mostly at the weekends when I have more time! I love to take the time to do the 3-step ritual of cleanse, tone and moisturise and this is exactly what this Clarin's routine is about! Step 1 - Cleanse Gentle Foaming Cleanser This cleanser is so good! It really foams when you lather it on to your face and it makes your skin feel sooo clean - yano that really fresh, clean feeling! The only down side is the smell? It is kind of odd? It's almost cocoa butter/ shea butter but not? I wasn't too keen! But if you can get past the smell it is such a lovely and rich cleanser. Step 2 - Tone Extra-Comfort Toning Lotion My mum is obsessed with this toner and I can see why! It feels really gentle on the skin and it cleans deep down so you can see it on the cotton pad. I loved how clean it made my skin feel and my pores felt tighter, too. Big thumbs up! Step 3 - Moisturise Nourishing Mask Balm ...
