May Empties ♡
May Empties ♡
Hi lovelies... HOW are we in JUNE already?! Where have those 6 months gone?! Time is absolutely flying at a crazy speed and I can't quite keep up!
Here are my empties from May... I decided to keep this post focused purely around face/ body/ hair products to mix it up a little bit and focus on everyday or more pamper-y type products.
These are the lovelies I have been using religiously (as you can see by the emptiness or near emptiness of them - and the states that some of them are now in!) so you know that these products are well loved and really, really work! Aaaaaaand they are all super affordable, too and you can find pretty much all of them at your local Boots or Superdrug!
FACE
(L-R)
Aldi Lacura Q10 Daily Moisturiser
This is my second little tub of this stuff - and I still absolutely love it! It is an absolute steal at £1.50 and it is thick, creamy and lasts all day! It contains SPF20 so I have been loving this under my make up in the warmer weather for summer.
Garner SkinActive Gel face wash
I love Garnier face washes and this one really leaves your skin feeling tingly clean! This is a gel consistency as opposed to a soap/ lathery one but I prefer that as there is less mess and takes less time to use - but it still works just as well. There are a few of this range and this is the normal-combo skin. I chose this because it is 96% natural and contains aloe which is amazing for your skin. I use this morning & night most days (unless I need something a bit thicker) and I would really recommend. I particularly like that it has a pump so you don't waste any product! I have repurchased a different Garnier face wash to try next from the 'Micellar Cleansing Wash' range and I am hoping I like it as much!
Nivea Double Effect Eye MakeUp Remover
I think this little baby was recommended to me by Tasha (@tabyjabybeautyandlifestyle) I THINK! Please correct me if I am wrong, gal! But it is honestly the best eye makeup remover I have ever tried - I really do love it! It works so you don't have to tug at your eyes which I hate when you feel like you have to really work a product to get every last little bit off. It is a mixture of the cleanser with a bit of oil so when you shake it together it mixes well and works together to remove all traces of make up - even tricky mascara! As you can see - mine is on its last legs and I desp need a new one as I will be lost without it!
Quick Fix Facials Purifying Charcoal Mask
I love a good mask and this one is soooo lovely and really leaves your skin feeling new and fresh and sooo clean! I love the Quick Fix range and have a few of these in my bathroom! This one is for 'dull and lifeless' skin - so I was sold as my skin can often look tired at the end of term! It is only about £5 I think and you get a good few uses out of it making it really worth the money. This is a wash off mask but contains charcoal to draw out impurities and antioxidants from the face, Vitamin C for a burst of hydration and cinnamon which contains antiseptic agents to help clarify the skin. All round winner!
Superdrug Vitamin E Dual Phase Cleansing Oil
As you can see - I have already repurchased this again AND the label on my original has come off! I bloomin' LOVE the Superdrug Vitamin E range and I feel like I pick something else from this range up every time I am in there! This cleansing oil is amaaaaazing - I am absolutely obsessed! It is similar to the Nivea in that it is an oil on top of the cleanser so you give it a shake before you use it to blend mix it together. I have been using this every day to remove all my make up before I wash my face and I can honestly say it really works. It does leave a bit of a greasy residue after (due to the oil in it, I suppose) but if you use it before your cleanser then it doesn't matter so much. Loveeee.
HAIR
(L-R)
TrΓ©s Emme Heat Protection Spray
I am a little bit funny about using any form of heat products without using heat protection on my hair! I always, always, always repurchase this every time I am running low and I have been using this brand since I was at University. I really trust Tres Emme products as I just feel they are good value for money but they really do their job - this also smells gorgeous, too! It leaves your hair feeling shiny as well.
Pro-voke Touch of Silver Brightening Shampoo
If you are a blondie like me and you haven't tried silver shampoo then I reeeally recommend that you do! This little beaut keeps my blonde from going brassy and having a funny tinge to it! I have been using this particular brand for a while and it is so affordable and really does work.
Garnier Ultimate Blends Conditioner - Argan Richness
Another Garnier product - I didn't realise I had so many! I love the Ultimate Blends range and have tried a few of them since they came out. I really like the consistency of this conditioner as it is soooo thick and I just feel like it really works in to your hair. The argan oils in this are perfect for dry/ damaged hair - which mine always seems to be! And they help to add some moisture and hydration back to it. I already have repurchased this!
BODY
Impulse Body Mist - Tropical Beach & Espresso
Another recommendation from Instagram and I am soooo glad I found this! It is a bargain at about £3 but smells absolutely gorgeous - it is apparently a dupe for the YSL Black Opium perfume and this fact alone had me sold! As you can see, it is well loved and this is my second bottle. I tend to lean towards body sprays as I find them less intense than perfume and because I work with children I try to wear pleasant smells that aren't too overbearing or that linger too much! This one I can top up throughout the day when I need it and I have compliments on it every time I wear it!
Superdrug Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream
Another Vitamin E beauty! This is on its last legs because my boyfriend stole it for a while without me realising as his hands get really dry from work. This cream is really thick and creamy and feels very luxurious on the skin! I think it is about £3-4 and it is only little but so worth trying if you need a new moisturiser. It sinks in to the skin quickly and leaves it feeling soft all day! It is thick enough to use sparingly but I love it so much I use it most days as it feels so lovely on the skin. Just don't let your partners steal it as it is a good one! He he.
What products have you used up this month? Let me know!
Lots of love EP π
